boozy week in review

“Give a man a beer, waste an hour. Teach a man to brew, waste a lifetime!” ~Bill Owen

It’s a GABF week (for those of you who may not be into the beer scene, that’s Great American Beer Festival), an event that equates to thousands of beer enthusiasts descending on our city to experience what we Denverites are fortunate to have at our fingertips year-round: really good beer. While there are certainly many other states (and opportunities for try other yummy beer) represented at the monstrous event, I have opted out of attending for years instead, taking advantage of the peripheral happenings around the city. This year, I have a partner in crime who makes my interest in beer look like child’s play. Yes, for those of you who don’t know, my fiance is a bit beer obsessed. Not only does he brew his own varieties of yummy beer, but he knows more about the stuff than any other human in my life.

This year, I have a partner in crime who makes my interest in beer look like child’s play. Yes, for those of you who don’t know, my fiance is a bit beer-obsessed. Not only does he brew his own varieties of yummy beer, but he knows more about the stuff than any other human in my life. (When he moved in, the guest closet quickly become beer storage. Like, the whole thing is now filled with beer.) So it’s not surprising that our week involved a number of stops at breweries for special GABF releases and tappings. To his delight (okay, and mine, because it was really fun), we kicked things off by attending Big Wonderful, a combo bizarre, beer and music festival. And, we finished it off by spending our Friday night shopping for rare bombers. Now to find room for our purchases . . .

Trajectory of Life celebrates living purposefully with curiosity, courage and simplicity as guides. I use the blog to document this philosophy through writing about my adventures in reading, travel, cooking, photography, fitness, being a dog mom, minimalism, sustainability, living childfree by choice, marriage and setting and meeting life goals. As someone new-ish to the Bay Area, the blog is also where I share tips for things to do in San Francisco as we explore this new city of ours.
