“I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude.” ~Henry David Thoreau

After a busy + people-filled week in Vegas (March Madness + spring break + St Paddy’s Day makes for one packed strip), I will be taking Thoreau’s quote to heart this weekend by taking some time for me to decompress and recalibrate a bit. Yes, even an extremely person like myself needs time to herself, especially after such a people-intense week. And, even thought I adore traveling, I’m also looking forward to some time at home in the next few months after four trips in the first 11 weeks of the year.

Overall, the past weekend + week was positive with my two-hour presentation going off without a hitch (my primary MIT for the week) and also some fun time spent catching up with friends in Vegas. It was a bit shocking to return home to snow and temps in the 20s but as a seasoned Denverite (after nearly 9 years here, I can claim that, right?), I know to expect at least one spring snowstorm before consistent warmer temps arrive. Despite that, I will be welcoming the first official day of spring tomorrow with open arms and an excitement for what is to come in the next few months in the form of new life + flowers + more time spent outdoors.

Trajectory of Life celebrates living purposefully with curiosity, courage and simplicity as guides. I use the blog to document this philosophy through writing about my adventures in reading, travel, cooking, photography, fitness, being a dog mom, minimalism, sustainability, living childfree by choice, marriage and setting and meeting life goals. As someone new-ish to the Bay Area, the blog is also where I share tips for things to do in San Francisco as we explore this new city of ours.
