“. . . an epiphany feels like hell . . . It exposes us and leaves us naked. We see ourselves plain, and it’s not a pretty picture. The essence of epiphanies is the stripping away of self-delusion. We thought we were X. Now suddenly we see we’re minus-X. We’re X divided by infinity. There is great power in this moment . . . A cherished self-delusion must be abandoned . . . But what we have gained is the truth. Our bullshit falls away. The scales drop from our eyes.” ~Steven Pressfield, Turning Pro

Sad goodbye to this week this project. It was such a huge part of my life for the past 3.5 years and really the impetus to many of my career advancements and successes. I’m so grateful for what I learned and the opportunity to lead such an important project in my organization.

Crazy to think I used to play this entire song by heart + performed it in front of actual people. It’s going to be a long road, but I’ll get there.

Trajectory of Life celebrates living purposefully with curiosity, courage and simplicity as guides. I use the blog to document this philosophy through writing about my adventures in reading, travel, cooking, photography, fitness, being a dog mom, minimalism, sustainability, living childfree by choice, marriage and setting and meeting life goals. As someone new-ish to the Bay Area, the blog is also where I share tips for things to do in San Francisco as we explore this new city of ours.
