“We tell people to follow their dreams, but you can only dream of what you can imagine, and, depending on where you come from, your imagination can be quite limited.” ~Trevor Noah, Born A Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood
Despite the craziness that was 2018, I succeeded in carving out time here and there to make it through more than 30 books. And, if the beginning is any indication of my reading successes this year, I’m well on my way to another well-read year. Yes, I get that we’re only 12 days into the year but, in under two weeks, I’ve managed to knock out a nearly 600-page book as well as another nearly 300-pager. Not to mention other reading I’ve done via magazines, blog posts and other various mediums. Yes, looming book-club meetings and library due dates did nudge me to completion but I’m still pretty darn happy I’m getting off to a good start in the new year.
Other areas of life are also mirroring the good start and, again, while we’re only 12 days in, I’ll take it. I hope your 2019 is also treating you well. ❤
