I first learned of the “101 Things in 1001 Days” challenge from a friend last month and was immediately intrigued. Obviously anyone who knows me — even just a little — should not be surprised that I would be on board for this.
What I did not anticipate, however, was how difficult it would be to come up with a list of 101 things I plan to complete in the next 2.75 years. But, not for reasons you might think. When I got stuck at around number 40, I began researching others’ lists in the hopes of gaining inspiration for my own. What I found was a wealth of gratitude for all of the amazing things I’ve already completed in my life, many of which were included on those lists.
As I continued to read, I decided to create my “done list,” which grew and grew as I read on. I eventually completed my initial list but the lessons was not lost on me. I spent a lot of time this weekend appreciating all of the opportunities I’ve had in my life and feeling extremely thankful for it all. I’m looking forward to completing my 101 items, but I also needed the reminder to pause and be grateful before moving on to the next to-do.
So, without further ado, my 101 things. Follow me on dayzero.com for progress or to check out my other lists and lists from others. Or, you can join me and create your own list on the site.
